A Legacy of Support

Alumni & Friends,

Mizzou has always been a part of my life. I grew up in Columbia, attending Homecoming parades and hearing the family stories of my father's and grandfather's time on campus. I broke from tradition by graduating with a degree in business, rather than agriculture — but in all other aspects, I follow in their footsteps when I speak of my love for our alma mater.

Like them, I found unconditional support at Mizzou. Those around me — my professors, my fellow students, my sisters at Kappa Alpha Theta — created a community of personal champions committed to my success. I owe them so much and I am forever grateful.

It's those memories that inspire me to continue giving back to the University that has given to each of us. While in Atlanta, I sought out other alumni to help revitalize our local Mizzou Alumni Association chapter. Since returning to Missouri, I have had both the honor and privilege to serve in a variety of ways including the MAA Long Range Planning Committee, the Griffiths Women’s Leadership Society and the Missouri Coordinating Board for Higher Education.

But as your 2020-2021 MAA President, I am committed to doing more — anything I can — for the University of Missouri. I'm a big believer in the saying, 'As goes the university, so goes the state.' The MAA Board of Directors and I look forward to continuing MAA’s work of championing the mission of this great university, to hearing the diverse voices of our Mizzou family and to finding new ways for our alumni and friends to be engaged. I hope you’ll join us by supporting Mizzou now more than ever before.

M-I-Z,

Robin Wenneker, BS BA ’91

MAA Board of Directors President

University of Missouri Board of Curators, District 4
