Four New Faces Join MAA Governing Board 2018-2019
Updated: Oct 24, 2018
Meet the four new Mizzou Alumni Association Governing Board members who begin their terms in fall 2018: Cristin Blunt, BS ED ’02; Bobby Hofman, BS ACC ’15, M ACC ’15; Jackie Mejia, BJ ’11; and Craig Moeller, BS ’93. We are proud to welcome them to the MAA Governing Board and look forward to seeing how they will make Mizzou stronger.
We caught up with the new board members and learned some fun facts about them. Interested in finding out why Cristin can’t reveal her favorite Mizzou memory? Or discovering Jackie’s awesome hidden talent? How about learning how Bobby would spend his dream vacation? (Hint: it includes a Mizzou national football championship victory.) Here are those answers and more.

Cristin Blunt
BS ED ’02 Appointed Director from Kansas City, MO
Describe yourself in three words: Resilient, persnickety, advocate
Favorite book: "Things Fall Apart" by Chinua Achebe, which I first read at Mizzou!
Favorite pastime: Reading fiction, napping, and buying things I shouldn't on Amazon
Favorite Mizzou tradition: It has to be Homecoming. Every aspect of it brings people together and it’s just so much fun!
Favorite Mizzou memory: I cannot share this information without incriminating myself and others.

Bobby Hofman
BS ACC ’15, M ACC ’15
Appointed Director from Brentwood, MO
Favorite quote: “Sometimes you have to watch somebody love something before you can love it yourself.” – Donald Miller
Ultimate dinner companion: To accompany my dinner, a tall glass of milk. But if you mean someone to join me, I’ll meet anyone at Booches for a slider and some chili.
Dream vacation: It’s a dream, right? Somewhere I can snow ski one day, spend a hot day on a beach the next, and then watch the Cardinals win the World Series and the Tigers win a national football championship… in the same week.
Favorite Mizzou tradition: This one is so hard! I love Tiger Walk and Senior Sendoff. I’m also thrilled to hear about the success of First Roar, which wins my favorite new tradition.
Favorite Mizzou memory: Countless evenings on the Quad. Sitting on the second column from the left. Staring at ‘Uncle’ Jesse Hall. Dreaming about the world, the campus, our lives and how we can make them all better.

Jackie Mejia
BJ ’11
Elected Director from Los Angeles, CA
Describe yourself in three words: Gregarious, positive, adventurous
Favorite quote: “And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.” – Desiderata
Can’t live without: Hearing music on my speakers, Netflix, chocolate, mascara and chips
Hidden talent: Making balloon animals
Dream vacation: Ibiza and Greece
Favorite Mizzou memory: The whole month of Homecoming my senior year
Favorite Mizzou tradition: Kissing the 50 [yard line]

Craig Moeller
BS ’93
Elected Director from St. Louis, MO
Describe yourself in three words: Positive, passionate, engaging
Favorite quote: My dad always used to say, “I’d rather be lucky than good.” It’s a funny family saying (that I don’t live by), but it makes me think of my dad.
Ultimate dinner companion: If I could have dinner with anybody, it would be my wife. Honestly, us having time alone, just the two of us to share over dinner is just the best.
Can’t live without: Black olives, cheese and Mizzou sports
Hidden talent: Yoga poses and flexibility
Favorite Mizzou memory: Being at the 1993 Missouri-Illinois Braggin’ Rights game when Mizzou beat the Illini in triple overtime.
Favorite Mizzou tradition: All of the activities leading up to Homecoming, especially Campus Decorations.
